Locksmith will be releasing his new mixtape The Lock Sessions in just a couple of days. Ahead of the project’s arrival, Locksmith engaged in a lyrical exhibition by freestyling over Drake’s “Hype” instrumental. The freestyle is yet another display of the Bay Area MC’s incredible skill as rapper.
“If you act out of rage then you stage what is known/A war that is based on emotions alone/Had a couple deals that was thrown my way/Rather work now than die broke as a clone, ” Locksmith raps.
Locksmith will be holding a special listening party for his local fans to celebrate the release of The Lock Sessions. Bay Area fans can catch him at the Oaklandish Store in Oakland from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 29).
Those who don’t live near the Bay will still be able to see Locksmith as he is set to embark on a tour in support of his new tape. Check out the full list dates for The Lock Sessions Tour below and make sure to pre-order the project on iTunes.
